Green, and much of Ohio, will “go dark” on Monday, April 8, 2024, for approximately 4 minutes as the moon eclipses the sun.🌑 The last total eclipse in Ohio was in 1806. Green Local Schools will be closed to students on Monday, April 8, 2024, so students can experience this once-in-a-lifetime event with family and friends (see the revised academic calendar here).
Central Park will be filled with activities and the stadium will be open to district families for a viewing party. Watch for more details as the district partners with the city for this exciting community event.🌓 For more information regarding activities, see the City of Green's Green Goes Dark event page here.
