At this time, final Q3 grades can be viewed in Canvas. To view or print a traditional paper copy of your child’s report card, it is generated online via ProgressBook (see this GLS link for info regarding Parent Access). While logged in to ProgressBook, click on “Report Card” on the left, then “View Paper Report Card” at the top of the screen.π
A Message from Green Local School District's Parent Mentor:
The last nine weeks are upon us and for me, it signals planning for Summer Activities. This Parent Mentor - CONNECTIONS spring newsletter edition is packed full of summer fun camps, upcoming activities and resources.π· The Connections newsletter has articles and information relevant to special education students, families and the staff that serves them. Bringing you information you can use when you need it, is my goal.
Attention Sixth Grade Families: Students will have the opportunity to participate in Outdoor Education in May.ποΈ Please take a moment to review the following details to learn about the dates for homeroom classes, drop-off/pick-up procedures, camp details, cost, and more. We wish you a wonderful Spring Break from March 25-29.π· As a reminder, Ohio State Testing begins shortly after our return as follows: April 10-11 English Language Arts; April 16-17 Science (Grade 5 Only); April 23-24 Mathematics.
Green, and much of Ohio, will “go dark” on Monday, April 8, 2024, for approximately 4 minutes as the moon eclipses the sun.π The last total eclipse in Ohio was in 1806. Green Local Schools will be closed to students on Monday, April 8, 2024, so students can experience this once-in-a-lifetime event with family and friends (see the revised academic calendar here).
Central Park will be filled with activities and the stadium will be open to district families for a viewing party. Green Local School District and Child Guidance and Family Solutions are partnering to present the Triple P Parenting Program! Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® knows all parents have different and unique needs therefore, the staff at Child Guidance will be presenting different research based topics to help support our parents and families.
The sessions are categorized into the following age groups:
- Dealing with Disobedience - February 28th 2024, 5:30-7:30 @ GPS Library
- Fighting and Aggression - March 13th 2024, 5:30-7:30 @ GPS Library
- Family Conflict - April 10th 2024, 5:30-7:30pm @ GHS Library Classroom
- Getting Teens to Cooperate - May 1st 2024, 5:30-7:30pm @ GHS Classroom

Due to the rerouting of Bulldog Boulevard and the need to create a new bus path through the stadium parking lot, the starting location of our PM parent pick-up line will be adjusted as of Monday, September 18, 2023.ππ Please see the map below for updated staging details. After buses have cleared at approximately 2:55 p.m., cars will be released to our typical parent pick-up line formation extending from Door 3. For more information about drop off and pick up procedures at GIS, click here.
Please note that Bulldog Boulevard is not open for public use at this time.
